Fake Speedmasters :
Unfortunatly the speedmaster is a watch which have been faked a lot due to its popularity , some years ago the fakes where quiet easy to spot with a trained eye , but recently appear a by far more scary fake I would like to show you here : (click on images to get them larger)

Even if a trainned collector can easely spot the difference with the real speedmaster , it might be VERY confusing even for a watch lover not specialized in the Speedmaster :
it is very difficult from the face of the watch to spot details which are not correct (hopefully the size of the dial and the way the crystal attach to the case are not correct and with a little attention it is still possible to spot it)
The Bracelet looks also by far "better" than the previous fakes I have seen (but thoses stickers with the red arrow have never been on a real speedmaster)
The back of the watch is quiet disturbing for an untrained eye ! can you belive it is fake ? , if you are a speedmaster lover of course ! but it is a real mechanical movement with crwon wheel mechanism , the display back is laser engraved , as the case with a serial number : to spot the fake : loook a the design of the movement : very different form the 321 or 861 movement , but also Omega do not use thoses blued srews
if you see auctions with blurry speedmaster pics : be VERY carefull and ask complementary pics to the seller ! do not hesitate to require assistance : you can post on the WUS Omega forum to ask advices from collectors (see "links" section)
